CHINA - VENEZUELA II
Increasing supplies from Venezuela will decrease pressure for extracting oil from Africa and the Middle East, possibly eliminate Chinese dependence on countries such as Sudan and Iran, while lowering prices for all. Increased cooperation with international oil firms could prompt Chinese oil companies to behave as “normal” oil companies and abide by “internationally accepted norms.”
